What is a Reply-To Address?

This is the email address any replies to your emails will go to. Recipients will see this email address in the Reply-To line of the email header. Some of these replies will be challenge emails and unsubscribe requests, so the Reply-To email address needs to be monitored; but you probably don’t want it to be your personal email address as it can fill quickly with other meaningless mail.

Setting up Auto-Responders on this reply email account is an excellent way to handle the email replies requesting to unsubscribe. When the word “unsubscribe” is in the subject or body of the email, an email response can be mailed automatically that explains to the customer that they can unsubscribe by clicking the link provided in the email they wish to unsubscribe from. In Outlook, you can use Rules to set up this kind of Auto-Responder. If Mustang List hosts your domain, they can help you set up Auto-Responders like this.
