MustangList.com Knowledge Base .: 2 - Account .: Export a List to CSV

Export a List to CSV

To export a list you must have account admin privileges. Users with these privileges will see a link for Account in the main menu under Knowledge Base and above Lists. If you do not see the link for Account, contact Mustang List for assistance.

  1. If you have only one list, go to Account and choose Export to CSV from the options shown under Account. If you have more than one list, you must first select the list you’d like to export. (Go to Lists/Select List and select the list that you’re going to want to export. After the list is selected, go to Account/Export to CSV as above.)
  2. After clicking on Export to CSV, the export will process immediately. The title at the top of the page will show the list name that the export is for: Export Subscriber Information for “list name.” (If this is not the list you want to export, go to Lists/Select List and select the list you want to export.) A message in red at will let you know the number of records you’ve exported. Below this, there will also be a link for you to download your .csv file of subscribers on your list. This link will be available for download to your computer for one hour.
  3. Click the link to download the file. Your computer might ask you what you want to do with the file. The file will be downloaded to your computer either where you tell it to go, or, if the download happens automatically, it will go where the other files that you download are stored on your computer.
  4. Open this file in MS Excel.
  5. Your downloaded file will display Email Address, Status (“Active”-subscribed or “Inactive”-Unsubscribed), Company Name, Title, First Name, Last Name, Address Line 1, Address Line 2, City, State, Country, Zip, Phone, Phone 1, Phone 2, Fax, Website, Bounces (number), and Categories.
