- To send a message, go to Messages and click Send Message. If there is just one message ready to send, you won't have to select it, Mustang List will do it automatically. If there is more than one message that can be sent, the system will ask you to Select a message. It’ll take you to the Manage Messages screen where you’ll click on the link Select and then it’ll bring you back to the Send Message screen.
- Note that the From Address and Reply-To Address contain the values you entered in the List Settings. If you entered more than one From and Reply-To Address in List Settings, and don’t wish to use the default addresses that appear, select a different address using the drop down menus.
- If you want to use the Advanced options for targeting your campaign, tick the box next to Advanced. (See the Knowledge Base for more information on this feature.)
- Enter your personal email address in the Test Address box.
- Click the Send Message button.
- You will get a confirmation dialog box about the test message. Click OK and within a second or two you will see the confirmation "Test message sent.”
- Check your inbox and make sure your message is properly formatted and readable.
- After having made any corrections and/or adjustments to the email, it’s time for the real deal. Click Send Message. (If you’ve left your screen up after sending your test message, be sure to erase your email address in the Test Address box.) The message will be sent to your entire list.
- You will get a confirmation dialog box—this is your last chance to abort the process. Click OK, and within a few seconds you will receive the confirmation message that the process has begun.
